To my small group of kind and patient folks who follow us here at Eirene’s Island: most of the entries have now been moved over to the new platform although categories and tags need to be set up. One casualty of the move and leaving iWeb & MobileMe is that there was no graceful way to bring your comments along. I am sad about this part, but have put a great deal of thought and effort into making the best we can of the move. And I guess finding out I can still learn some new tools and make sense of nerdly things feels better than I thought it would. Of course making decisions and anticipation is the biggest hurdle sometimes. I hope I got it right.

Your feedback is important to me, and I hope that you will find other new features will be even more engaging (and comments will be very easy over ‘there’). I will try to make the actual move as transparent as possible and until then, well, we shall pack our carry-on for a new journey. One real plus is making this blog and photo gallery easily used and viewed from anywhere – including portable devices.

 Meanwhile, hope to see many of you local folks at the Loma Prieta Fire and Rescue BBQ tomorrow! For tonight – well it is Diamond Jubilee Weekend so I think a Pimm’s cup is on order, and maybe some episode of Inspector Morse that we have saved for a Saturday night.
