1 cup nuts, coarse chop (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts – any type)
2 cups sugar
6 teaspoons brandy extract
6 teaspoons vanilla extract
10 teaspoons anise extract (or whole little bottle)
4 cups flour
Beat eggs. Add sugar. Beat again. Add extracts. Beat after EACH addition of extract. Add flour and mix. Add chopped nuts. Batter will be loose.
Put on 2 ungreased cookie sheets (divide batter roughly in half).
May sprinkle with tiny candy dots (OPTIONAL*)
bake 35 minutes or until light brown n 350 degree (F). Remove IMMEDIATELY and slice onto cutting board. Cut NOW and let cool (if you want them a little harder, place cut biscotti in oven after you have turned off heat and let cool overnight).
*I no longer use the little round dragees, but that was part of the original recipe and they are quite pretty with the colours my sister uses. These are ones she made for me ❧
